any more road cars likely to come from Ginetta?
Discussion
last year I seriously considered a G40R, but, for a variety of reasons, I bought an Elise instead.
I just wondered if there was any word on the likelihood of any more road cars from the guys in Garforth?
Looking at the road car range, there (IMHO) seems to be a bit of a chasm between the £30k G40R and the £68k G60.
Something at the £45-£50k mark would be splendid I reckon. They certainly seem to have race cars aplenty!
FWIW, my vote would be FE, RWD, > 4cylinders. Like a scaled up G40R I guess.
cheers

Variety of reasons:
I had a car to trade in. Ginetta wouldn't take a trade in, Lotus would.
I fancied mid engined a bit more than front.
I felt the Lotus had a slightly better support/parts network around me, being a slightly more trodden path.
Lastly, I quite liked the ability to go topless in the Elise.

It's actually £15k-£20k I was talking about.
For that, I'd want a couple more cylinders and a bit more room inside.
Take your point about small volume manufacturers not offering too many models, but Ginetta seem to have plenty of the hardware already...
They did a good job of road-readying the G40; I'd love to see them do it again.
I for one feel there's a distinct lack of desirable (new) Sportscars at the £50k ish mark. The new Exige and, at a pinch, Evora spring to mind. Maybe the SLK if you are a hair stylist, but other than that, it's kit cars...
