Ginetta G20

Hopefully if the finances are sorted i will be the new owner of a road going Ginetta G20 very soon. I'm quite excited about getting the car so hopefully everything gets sorted!
However i was trying to find out how many road going G20s were made but have had no luck in finding the production numbers, does anyone know where i could source the answer?

Well i've got a 75 mile trip back so i should be able to report on the driving experience! I'm not expecting a relaxed or refined ride (but i'm fine with that) because as you say it has nothing at all! The G33 is a superb looking car, 20 mpg must be worth it for the noise!

Thanks for commenting and good to hear of another Ginetta owner in the area. The paintwork on mine does need a few bits doing but nothing too serious. I'm sure you've had great fun on the track in your G20, is it running throttle bodies?

Yep, running a 1.8 Zetec blacktop on Jenvey throttle bodies and Pectel ECU, basically GT5 spec as they were raced. General rule of thumb is it burns around 3/4 of a litre per minute on track.

Luckily I've got access to corner weighting and wheel alignment kit so it's well set up for pointy, playful handling which inspires pushing on a bit and enjoying the handling but it' still fairly benign and catchable

Very nice, good to here the car gets used properly. I was thinking about throttle bodies but for the type of use the car is getting for now it's a very expensive upgrade although i'm sure they're worth it. It's always good when you have the use of specialist tools as well

The throttle bodies make it lovely and responsive at the top end and it idles OK, part throttle response is quite lumpy but that could just be a function of the mapping, on or off is the order of the day really. I'd like a little more caster at the front to help with self centring too as I find you have to steer the car out of corners rather than it straightening up naturally, but unfortunately it is fixed and would need some chassis surgery or new wishbones fabricating.

With time I'm gradually building up a picture of the sources of the various bushes, mounts and bits and bobs used so if you're in need of any parts then shout.

That would of been during one of the many outings i had in the car over the weekend
It feels very tight and planted in my experiences at the weekend, haven't had any nervous moments so far. You will probably say that's because i'm not trying hard enough
