Sierra 5.7 V8 Swap

Hello. Myself and a couple of friends have a good 'ol sierra sapphire which has updated suspension, brakes and is overall a very solid car. Our intention is to drop a faster engine into it on the cheap and another friend has offered us a 70's chevy blazer with a 350 small block in it which we would love to drop into our humble sierra. Has anyone done or heard of this conversion being done as I am currently struggling to find out the best manual gearbox option for this engine. I don't know if you can just get a conversion kit for a T5.

Yeah I know about the South Africa V8 sierra but I'd have to find a cheap mustang V8 and since I already have access to a very cheap chevy V8, I'm game to just ruin it's last hint of manufacturer originality.
