I have a ST 170 and the steering is not right. Can't put my finger on it though. Has anyone ever changed the power steering fluid and did it make any difference.
What spec fluid should I use.
Thanks.

Just an update on the wayward steering on my Focus. I changed the power steering fluid. This made a slight difference. Better. Then bought 4 new tyres. Hankook. Transformed the car. No more tramlining and much much quieter.
When I bought the car I think the previous owner had refurbed the wheels and I think he replaced the tyres with part worn ones. These were worn very unevenly causing my dodgy steering.
I now have a great handling car with excellent brakes just not a lot of go. Second and third are great round the lanes but I have 3 gears left! When I was checking out my leaking thermostat housing today I noticed a sensor tie wrapped to the battery case. It had 2 wires going to it and was about 2 inches long and 1 inch in diameter. Anyone know where this should go or what it does.
