Hello!

Forgive the short notice but we're filming/photographing the turbocharged Zenos E10 S on Monday at Bruntingthorpe and given that it has effectively the same engine as the current Ecoboost-powered/4-cyl Focus ST wanted to get one along for the shoot.

Sadly Ford has defleeted its pre-facelift cars and hasn't had its facelifted ones onto its press fleet yet so doesn't have a car available so I was wondering if there's an ST owning PHer who might be willing to bring their car along to Bruntingthorpe on Monday afternoon and have their car featured in the story/PHTV vid.

Now, one of the things we wanted to do was a drag race to highlight the difference stripping out half a tonne makes to two cars running comparable engines. We all realise this will see the Focus being left behind but the point is that 1) we like the Focus a lot here at PH 2) it's a fast car by any normal measure but 3) look at what Zenos has done with the same powertrain. This is not intended as a laugh at the expense of the Focus, more an illustration of how rapid the Zenos is in relation to a 'normal' fast car.

So, bearing the above in mind and fact you'd have to do a couple of maximum attack starts off the line is there anyone STILL willing to bring a Focus along on Monday?! All driving would be by the owner by the way, so you can be as aggressive/sympathetic as you like with the clutch/tyres - we're not about to do a roadtester's clutch side-step on someone's pride and joy! Numberplates can be covered/disguised as required too. And it doesn't matter whether it's a hatch or estate either.

We'd be meeting at Bruntingthorpe around 1230pm on Monday and we're scheduled to be there until about 5pm - you wouldn't necessarily need to be there for this entire period but you'd be welcome to stick about if you want to see what goes on, have a ride in the Zenos, shoot the breeze, etc... Expenses can stretch to a brew/bacon sarnie/tank of fuel if you've come a way so if anyone's up for it we'd love to hear from you.

Probably best to ping me a DM as I'll see that quicker.

Many thanks!

Dan

Fair point - I'll tweak the thread title accordingly and if you're willing/able to punt it about I'd be most grateful.

Cheers!

Great work guys, thanks very much for your efforts and much appreciated.

Rhys, you have mail and I hope to see you on Monday! You'll get a chance to scrub your tyres in at least!

Cheers,

Dan
