I have been offered an Anglia 105E from an old boy for cheap money, been stood in his garage 15 years.
The engine's seized but could be freed off and it needs sills, front panel and very possibly most of the bottom 6 inches replacing. There are no bottoms in the doors!
Now, I've also been offered an RS2000 lump, condition unknown less ancillaries but including manifolds and carb.
I'm sure you can see where I'm going with this?
Obviously uprated running gear & brakes so do I go the hot rod route or rebuild the original engine? If that was the case I'd rebuild the RS engine but haven't a clue how much it would sell for but may finance quite a bit of the anglebox' restoration.
Thoughts (if any)?

Cheers for the advice
Wasn't sure if it was engine number dependant or not and yes, I agree that the 1600 would be ample for a bit of hooning around
Rostyles or alleycats or slot mags? I'm resisting the temptation to jack the rear end up and put a red light under there...... Roll cage and a couple of bucket seats might top it off for a daily driver and weekend warrior
