high oct petrol v standard

this is mainly directed at the fiesta st owners, but what petrol do people use, bog standard or v-power etc. i cant see v-power giving my st any performance advantage, maybe lub the engine better, but do people get a better mpg from it making it worth while to buy?
i tend to stick with just esso. My work is based at bp grangemouth and have been told the fuels sold to tesco, asda etc arent as high quality thats why they can sell them at a cheaper price than shell etc.
intrested to hear what other peoples findings are.
