Hi guys,
Sorry for the being quick on the questions for my first thread but needs must.
I recently purchased a ST3 2007 10k on the clock and i have problems.
I am experiencing a CLUNKING noise when pulling away from stop or when changing gear at lower revs 1-2-3 gears up or down, most noticable when slowing for junctions or initial pull away. If i rev to over 1800-2000 and bring out clutch very smoothly no clunk, but come back of throttle it clunks.
Another problem is when cornering at about 45-50mph thru a tight corner a really nasty grinding noise starts and then the stability light comes on. This usually only happens round right hand bends. I am not driving hard as the loan car i have got (focus 1.6 57reg) does not have any probs with the same type of corners at same or higher speeds. Again dealer cannot find anything (or dont want to admit there is a fault)
I have driving 2 other st's and cant get the fault to appear on them so has anyone else experienced this prob as i am threatening to hand car back otherwise.

I would of liked to have somthing else more positive to come on with but it wasn't to be.

Thanks guys

The car is in the steelers just now and i notified them that the car seems to only display the grinding noise while driving between 45-55mph plus the esp light comes on. I think it maybe due to faulty wheel speed sensor or the like as the 1.6 i have does not display this in the same dry or wet conditions.
I tried looking on the owners club but you need to pay for membership to access the tech section, i don't mind paying but not if iam going to hand the car back, bit of a waist.
I may ask them to bring the car to me and i will with one of there staff go out and show them the problem, hopefully then they will admit and solve the problems for good, then i can enjoy the car for the first time
since i bought it.

i'll buy you a pint if it turns out to be a shaft bearing or the like. I would of expected them to do this but it is the dealers were talking about
Thanks
