I was following an Alfa Romeo Mito yesterday (not for long, I was in the Chimaera wink ) and I remembered that we had started a naming thread when the news of Les Edgar's purchase of the TVR name etc was announced, but t had petered out.

As I am sure everyone knows, the Mito name is a combination of the place it was designed (Milano) and the place it was built (Torino).

So I was musing while stuck in traffic and wondered if the brilliant collective minds of the TVR brotherhood might come up with something suitable for the new TVR? Having tried a few ideas in my head, I decided to extend the brief (yes, I did work in advertising when God was in short trousers) and allow three letters for each, so a maximum six letter name, and allow the place of manufacture to be either the first two or three letters, or the last two or three letters, of the place name, to make the resulting car name more manly.

To get you started......

Designed in Dagenham and built in Bangor would give you the TVR Daggor
Designed in Tonbridge Wells and built in Risca would give you the TVR Tonca

See what you can come up with.

I avoided using the designers name rather than place for obvious reasons - we wouldn't want our new car to be designed by Les Edgar and built in Bolton, would we?

hehe

Of course, almost all of the TVRs that only venture out to go to car shows were designed and built in Blackpool.
Under my rules, they are all BlaBlas blabla

Surely it's nearing the end of the tax year and you should be so deeply up to your eyeballs that you don't have time for this sort of nonsense? hehe

Keep up the good work Anthony smile
Tax return deadline was last month. I don't give investment advice, and have already advised my corporate clients on capital allowances etc.
And even accountants are allowed one day off a week.....Shirley?
Am actually up to my eyeballs doing accounts, and at my desk, but it's hard not to have a sneaky peek at PH..... biggrin
