This may be heresy but am thinking of adding a Porker to my limited collection! Anyone among the venerable collective owned a 944 s2 cab?
I realise that this Boschmobile is missing 4 cylinders but looks an interesting 4 pot which reputes to be the largest displacement produced!
Anyone here had one and can give a misguided TVR owner an unbiased review?

I'm taking cover!!! paperbag

As I wasn't drummed out of the regiment for suggesting such mutiny I thought it was time to come out from behind the barricade and report progress!

Having now tested a few S2 Cabs I realise the error of my ways with regard to open top motoring and IMO the Chim is unbeatable in terms of 'fun factor' for that wind in the hair (what's left of it) experience!

However, and this is the dilemma, I am planning a European road trip next year and I fear the Chim is going to suffer in the heat and take it out on me by boiling me alive in a queue of traffic!!! And I don't really want to push my luck on what will turn out to be a few thousand miles of motoring without a support group in tow (ie. a club tour with spare parts/tools in a van following everywhere!).

The sensible option, of course, would be to take the daily drive Euro box, but where's the fun in that! I don't require any more than 2 seats and think that aircon would be a must for the times when opening the sunroof?? and windows will not cut it, and the car mustn't cost more than 10k. So am thinking along the lines of a coupe of some description. Obviously the Pork option 944/968 is a consideration but can anyone suggest 'interesting' alternatives??

I eagerly await your response. earsbounce
