Outrigger deflectors?

Hello folks.
I'm wondering if anyone has come up with a viable solution to defect the stones and general muck that flicks up on to the leading edge of the outriggers?
I've just had them replaced and although the originals have lasted 18 years, if there's a way it can protect above paint and wax then it's worth looking in to??...
I Should add it's a chimaera I have.
