Good idea or not? I'd like to get it cleaned before taking some pics, just wondering what the best bet is.

How fragile is this car then. Do I need to wrap it in cotton wool? I assumed the were fairly tough old brutes, but then clearly I know nothing.

Depends how you value your time I suppose. I'd rather not tie up hours of my weekends cleaning the car over and over again, and instead just have it cleaned and every year and a have have the paintwork detailed.

I'll bet my 911 has far less scratches and swirl marks than most cars on here as I had the paint detailed in Jan for £300.

That said my cars are cars, not garage Queens. Probably only clean the 911 once every couple of months if that. What's the point, I drive it hard every day, only going to get brake dust everywhere every 5 seconds.

Tar ownership sounds a lot like rolex ownership. Don't ever wear it, you could scratch it, best keep it in the box and only wear it for special occasions.

Or, wear it every day, enjoy it for what it is, then get it polished every year, as if by magic, all the scratches are gone.

I'll take all of your car wash advice on board though. Sarky as it all was.

I'm a massive spacker clearly, I bought a tvr unseen.

I was very lucky spacker. Had a full sign off bar the oil sender. New outriggers, and brand new toyos all round. If only I could get the poxy steering wheel off.

Three legged puller something you can grab from euro car parts?

Monkeylegend, some people on here wouldn't put a convertible through a car wash full stop. I know that with a 911 it's 100% not a problem, so thought I'd ask if it's the same with a tvr. The answer was no. No harm done. Now I know the answer.

Looneytunes, did it hurt as much as everyone else on the Internet says it does!

Phil, been sat in it like a mad man rocking back and forth with all I have. Even took the trusty claw hammer to it! She's not having any of it.

Puller type thing it is tomorrow then.

Rob I'm with you there mate. I have a 3 and a 5 year old. Plus the work commitments, and rugby twice a week with games on Saturdays. Can be a nightmare.
