another 'help with selling overseas' thread..

Hi all,
My car is in the classifieds and I've had two enquiries recently from potential buyers in France...
Each has asked for a scan of the V5 and other docs such as MOT etc. I understand that the info is needed to enquire about registration certificates.
While the enquiries seem legitimate, the idea of sending a copy of my log book overseas doesn't seem quite right to me..
I welcome any advice. (And/or a UK buyer!!?! )
