I’m considering a number of options at present for a full respray required on my T350 (unfortunately due to a piss poor recent full respray it’ll likely be stripped back to gel and repainted) and was after opinions on Surface and Design. I’m aware a number of people on here say they are good but I’m after a balanced view (PM me if need be) just in case, though I’m more than happy if they are indeed the best. smile
I’ve spoken with a chap at S&D and he seems enthusiastic and knowledgeable but you can’t beat real world experience. Unfortunately I’m a long way from Blackpool so popping over to see them isn’t easy.

Thanks all. Reason for asking is the garage I used late last year for my repair are supposed to be fastidious but my full respray (at first they denied having done a full respray until I showed them pics of my car in their workshop back to full primer) is awful and I've heard from many others since (both TVR and normal cars) who have had big issues and little comeback.
I'm currently going through the motions with insurance, inspctions etc but will need all the paint stripping off and redoing hence the original question and I can't afford to make the same mistake again.

Once all the dust is settled I'll post up the pics to all and sundry, obviously not mentioning who on here (that can come from PM) but it's been a stressful 12 months.

Picking my car up first thing tomorrow as discussed last Saturday, Tony. Will be at Mat Smith's by about 11 if you were planning on dropping by.

Have you inspected the paint job on Mat's S? Done by Chris Browm round the corner. I was well impressed.
Hi Anthony - not sure I'm going to able to make it as I have a cat to take to the vets in the morning. How did your little project go?
Tell Mat to let me know how much I owe him BTW wink

I'll pop your goods back to him in the next week or so - thanks again for that.

Well bearing in mind I've never seen or met either of those 2, they've never seen my car before or after repair and I have 2 independent inspection reports backing up my complaints then I couldn't care less what those People think.
If they know something I don't then speak out, I'm happy to share..... Though it would be good to know how you know me and my car so well despite having never once come across each other? Unless your an acquaintance of someone from the original repairing garage?
But as this could go legal very soon I take it you all have proof to back up your reasons?

Hmm I'm losing track of this one. Didn't slow worm and chum mention zebedee not zipee.
I'd suggest a play on words. As i said they've never seen or met me nor seen my car and neither have they come across me on this website so I'd love to hear what they know and how - facts rather than hearsay.

I just wanted to say thankyou to the majority on this thread for the recommendations and advice. My car is booked in with S&D for next year and will be stripped right back to gel coat and resprayed in full, the very poor, soft paint being fully removed.
A huge thankyou to a few (you know who you are).
To those with doubts, as Matti stated - if this had happened to your car would you have just left it or fought it? I know what the majority answer would have been.
For any still doubting, how many insurance companies that have already paid out do you think would spend several thousand once again (remember this is a LOT more involved than an ordinary respray) if there was nothing wrong. I had my own independent inspection and then the agreement of the insurance inspector backing me here. We all know what an 'industry acceptable standard' means and it's not always the best quality, more just acceptable. Mine was classified as way below this.

To their credit (if you can call it that) the original repairing garage did do an excellent job on the GRP side of things, that was why I had previously sang their praises mid way through repair.
