Wondering if anyone had any similar experiences and could throw out some specialists that could help me out?

We have a Tuscan Red Rose in the family and insurance is due this month, I was to get insured as a named driver at 24 years old.

I have a claim in the last 12 months hence no NCB however I live 120 miles away from the car so will be driving a handful of times a year anyway.

I have tried MSM (They are quoting me as we speak) we have tried numerous online comparison sites and the like but they are all ridiculous or wont even insure me as a named.

Talking 3000 miles max two drivers in there 50's and me. Garaged, Postcode rating B.

I have seen 22 year olds with no NCB getting quotes for 1200 on there own with higher mileage I don't understand.

Cheers Guys

I got a quote from MSM today and although very high considering the fact I do have a claim it was not too bad.

However I live 120 miles away from the car so will be driving it very rarely, so they offered me the chance to be added to the policy as and when for, a week at a time (30 days max) and considering the weather in this country and my distance from the car I think this is the best choice. Obviously this comes at a cost but for a weeks insurance fully comp it works out very well I believe.

MSM allow under 25 on all TVRs apparently so maybe give them a call, they took into consideration the fact I will rarely drive the car, the fact I had driven the car before, my previous history driving even though I had a claim, my previous NCB etc.

If he has a clean license and has experience driving the car I would call the woman I spoke to was extremely helpful.
