Planning permission granted , despite objections from neighbours ( "Disproportionate, Loss of open space and increased noise from applicants sports cars " ??? ).
Front garden and paved area cleared , TVRs away in storage , so the footings are scheduled to go in next week.

All "single" PHers need a 4 bedroomed house, a double and a triple garage otherwise where do you keep your stuff wink

How dare those neighbours from hell object?

You're a bit selfish, aren't you?
Probably smile .
At least it will block out Plastic City (white conservatories) and the "Fish & Chippy" flue from my view smile .

2 by 4 battens screwed on with "Lightning" bolts so no need for rawlplugs. Using "vapour" silver foil backed plasterboard because the garage is single skin. Wasn't going to bother with insulation ,more concerned with dampness through the brickwork, did once think of using damp coarse sheeting..I think an air gap might be better, but I'm no expert... I'll ask my builder tomorrow.

Personally I'd insulate, this will help with dampness, you could even install a couple of low energy oils radiators for keeping it dry in the winter. Wouldn't need to be to warm, just a constant temp.

You're right, asked my builder...He recommenended KINGSPAN or CELOTEX ( he said not to use Insulation Wool type material, because if gets damp it will smell) ... So it's another trip to Wickes....might aswell get my Emulsion there too , since I'm now a TRADE customer getting 10% discount smile .
