S3 2.9ltr losing power
Discussion
TVR S3 2.9ltr
Intermittent problem of losing power in really hot whether if not on a constant move, the engine is not overheating. Will tick over fine but cuts out as soon as you try to move. Leave half hour to cool down and ok
Replaced all the coolant
Replaced coil
Replaced fuel filter
Had a diagnostic
Radiator rebuilt
Fitted an override fan but don't know if this has made any difference yet.
Car has been serviced and Mot'd.
Any ideas?
(Posting on behalf of my dad so bear with me on replies)

I'll go with fuel vaporising in the lines.
+1I knew someone who used to have this problem on his 'S', he had a fuel cooler(similar to an oil cooler) fitted and the fault was cured.
With regards to the fuel cooler do you have anymore information on this?
Many thanks
I Agree withThomas...stick a post on the S forum...someone will know...
From my limited knowledge ...could it be something electrical that doesn't like the heat...ie dodgy coil or perishing plug leads?
...problem is that a lot of out S colleagues are currently having a weekend off at a spa...no sorry, I meant at Spa...lucky b@&stds

This has been raised with an idea or insulating the fuel line or similar.

Sorry, it was probably about 20 years ago and I lost contact with the owner when he sold it.With regards to the fuel cooler do you have anymore information on this?
Many thanks
However, look at this thread, as obviously another 'S' owner had the same idea;
