If there are about 31 million cars on UK roads, I was wondering how many as a percentage were of our favoured marque.

I think the most common TIV was the Chim with roughly 6k machines made, so can anyone make an educated guess how many TIVs in total now remain?

I only see a handful each year out and about in general.

So about 17k made, thanks. I've just been on howmanyleft.co.uk which separately quantifies taxed and sorned for each model (including a category called missing (?) for which 880 taxed).

My efforts show a rough total of about 7.5k TVRs taxed in summer, so that number on the road at least. So with the assumption of 31m of all UK cars (which is probably way off by now) that gives a figure of 0.024% being TVRs, or one in 4100.

Yes, I will never get this time back but at least I was given an extra hour to play with today.smile
