Yes, I know it's a 5.5, yes I have declared different wheels, brakes and roll bar but still, for a careful, claim free, experienced, (err hmm) driver, a bit steep I thought.

Are there any other reputable sensibly priced insurers that are recommended?

Hi Peter. There's a company who also insure the TVR against risk when doing speed events if that's of any interest.
Absolutely, ears

I used to be with Mannings when I first had the car. Cover was fine until I needed more miles, at which point they just said "no". Hence the change to the far more flexible Classic Line. Only issue with them, if you call it an issue, is that their inclusive track day cover is limited to 6 a year, after which it costs £53 per event.
So, who's counting? Or do you have to notify them?

Thanks for all the information up to now guys.

I've been pretty busy so Monday I'll be making phone calls.

I will let you know the result!

Mind you, given the weather , (It was snowing a short while ago) this is the first time I am thinking of letting it lapse, mind you I will regret it on those nice crisp dry days. smile.

Footman James came in at £200 for my Cerb with all mod's declared and agreed value of £25k.
Wow!

Speaking as a senior member of the human race, my quote should be very acceptable.

I will certainly give them a ring .

Hi Pete, where did you end up with the insurance?
Hi Graham.

Just insured it.

Classic line, one SP30, one knock for knock, (lying woman who drove into wifies car, grrrrr) insured as a full 5.5 with all mods declared, £15K value, full breakdown and EU cover…………..£339.85!

Happy with that.

They are worth a call when the rest of your fleet comes up for renewal. Their price for my son in law's car was as good as anything suggested by the Meerkat, as they give multi car discounts.
Will do, we have another 8 cars at home……………...

Well done. How many miles?

I have just checked my Classicline quote £552 all mods declared but less power than yours. I asked for 5000 and they proposed 3000 to give me a price beggining with a 5!
5K

Must be the dodgy area you live in?

Medium risk according to this - http://www.visitcars.co.uk/car-insurance/insurance... BR2.

It started going up a couple of years ago and my renewal for the TVR at 5000 miles was more on its own than the Stag and TVR combined 8000 miles.
Very strange?
