Can't understand why a 4k Griff needed a complete nut and bolt job in the first place.

I guess the old adage applies: they're only worth what people will pay for them. It just smacks of hypocrisy that I was told by multiple garages that I was having a laugh thinking I'd get around £23k for my excellent example, though I guess there was ulterior motives in play there.

I hear it sat in a field for years after a dispute with the factory, hence the requirement for a full rebuild at such low mileage.
