Please talk to Adrian Venn (ExactlyTVR) or Dave Smith (Owner of a Motorsport 302 3000S) before you restore the chassis and both these guys have experience of high power M series cars, and what had to be strengthen on the chassis and wishbones, etc. It would be a shame to restore it, put the V8 in and then find that you keep breaking things!
Good project though!

Wow... thats impressive..
What other mods do you have planned to cope with it?
Will be interested to see how you manage to fit the exhaust headers, those chassis rails look close?
I would love to do something similar with my M!
I'm making my own headers running forward so no prob there. What other mods do you have planned to cope with it?

Thats going to be awesome, 550bhp, jeees
Just had mine dyno'd at 509bhp and thats hairy enough in a long wheel base heavy cerbie.
Are you using the chev ECU to control the elec throttle? I'd highly recommend the chev ECU, its totally mappable plus you get all the advantages of thousand of hours development in the base map. Easy enough to wire, I've got all the info if needed.
Had any ideas about gearbox?
Rich.
Looked at the CTS Quaife T5,but i've decided to go for the TK0 600.Just had mine dyno'd at 509bhp and thats hairy enough in a long wheel base heavy cerbie.

Not 100% sure on the ECU yet, just want to get everything to fit first before it all gets stipped for the rebuild.

Need to maybe catch up for a beer over Christmas for a progress update - Linda's almost recovered from the last seasonal get together we had...

I just got some new rear hubs that fit into the existing carrier. Quaife units and a much better design than the original. Steve Ried (Gamekeeper) has some in stock I think.
Hi Antony,
Body will be off by Feb,the rear end is next on the long list of things to do
I will probably use the Jag diff but the rest will need to be upgraded.
I may be using nitrous for some 1/4 mile action along with some sticky rubber,so i need it all to be strong.
Will let you know what i go for when i have it fully worked out.
