Being an early starter I'm often home by around 3.30pm. I've been surprised by the instances of TVRs appearing in old TV re-runs. I've seen a couple of TVRs (could be a crew members car) in Randall & Hopkirk not sure of the model but it had the Cortina 'peace sign' style rear lights, car was red usually parked up next to warehousing.

Today I caught the last 10 minutes of 'The Saint' where Simon Templar was competing in the 'Laker' rally (fictitous event) in what looked like the same model of car. Is it a Vixen, Grantura or maybe Griffith? It also had a chromed vent in the bonnet behind the front wheel. It featured a lot in the last 10 minutes, with his female co-driver digging/pushing him out of big holes in the ground. The car was a similar colour to the Leyland 'Harvest Gold' of the 70s.

I've just been through my old issues and found March 08 (memory not what it was!). The feature mentions both cars that I'd seen, both filmed in 1969.
