Brakes now squeaking when RELEASING the pedal
Discussion
My brakes had been squeaking quite badly when coming to a stop, I had the car in the garage a few times and that seems to have completely cleared up - I believe they added new front pads.
However, I've now noticed a squeak/squeal whenever I pull my foot off of the brake pedal. It's enough to hear it clearly when driving with the window down, or faintly hear when the window is up.
I get the exact same noise when putting the handbrake down, but this is only occasionally. I took it back to the garage and I was told they had found the squeak and fixed it, but apparently not. It happens 90% of the time.
It sounds like it's coming from directly underneath me, but I'm not too sure! The brakes feel fine, but it's starting to bug me. Any ideas what it could be? Is it something I should be worrying about?

After looking around online, I'm convinced it's something to do with the rear drums.
If I release the pedal, it squeaks. If I put the handbrake down, it squeaks. However if the handbrake is up, the pedal doesn't squeak at all.
Got it booked in with the garage again, this time a mechanic is going to take a ride with me so I can point it out!

So it came out of the garage again yesterday, they have 'adjusted' the handbrake cables. It wasn't there for half an hour or so, but is back just as loud as before now. I'm convinced something needs to be replaced, not just 'adjusted' or 'cleaned'.
As I've said, from researching online I'm guessing this is something to do with the handbrake cables or rear drums/shoes. Can anyone help shed some light on this? It's driving me mad!
