Hello all

Got a major problem with a Mercedes which i never expected.

Basically the bottom shocker bushes on both the rear shockers have worn out really badly and need to be replaced. Major problem is that these bushes are not available separately from Mercedes, in another cash stripping bid they list the bushes as complete with the shockers.

Iv tried everywhere to find an alternative but to no joy.

So is there any company out there who can maybe custom make bushes for me?

Thanks

The shockers are perfectly fine, just the bushes that are worn.

If the bush is that knackered the shock is probably not far behind, just replace them ?
The shockers are actually hydro-pneumatic, as in fluid controlled. They are in perfect working order, which im rather thankful for as each shocker is only £1,400.

Polybush havnt got anything of the same size, but the first idea of making your own is not too bad at all. Probably wont get it right the first time but who cares, at that price its got to be worth a shot. Dont know if i have the skill or the patience though.

These both seem the ideal places, dont know about the costs involved but both seem to be able to custom make the bushes.

Will be on the phone to them tomorrow and see what they can offer.

Thank you very much.

I've seen a lot worse than those smile Are you getting any movement then? A lot of old Mercs have worn looking bushes but there isn't actually any play in the parts... Have you tried a breaker like Mercman for a good used pair?
Just for the sake of it iv been trying to get a replacement shocker for the last 2 years and iv yet to see someone here in the UK with one.

There are one or 2 available on ebay from the USA but by the time they get here its still about £500 each. The risk your taking there is that they might arrive and the bushes on them might be on their way out as well.
