Mk 2 Escort brake failure and recon question
Discussion
My Mk 2 Escort Harrier went out on 1st trip of year Saturday .. I lent it to mag for photo shoot .. Brakes failed whilst out fortunately on quiet road ( foot to floor ) AA called and no apparent fluid leaks etc and brakes came back ... Had master cylinder brake kit done year or so ago .. Can they fail again if car sits for a year or so ... That soon if not used .. ???
The brakes were binding a bit but thought they would loosen over time / use
Think its time to have brakes completely overhauled as I don't really want to be piling into backs of cars or worst case people
Anyone know decent brake specialist / reconditioner in essex area .. Master cylinders / calipers / brake lines ... Etc etc.
I'm no mechanic and don't want to mess about with local garage who haven't seen a mk 2 in 25 years ..
Thx
