[Brake Lines] Kunifer flanging splitting

am trying to replace the brake lines on my car at the moment.

Have a decent draper flanging tool for the brake unions, which works really well on copper, but when I try on Kunifer the end of the flange just splits.

Any idea on how to deal with this?

the tool is borrowed from a friend, so no instructions.
