Aftermarket and OEM shocks valved the same?

I am about to change the rear shocks on my E91 M Sport.

Are aftermarket shockers all valved the same Sachs, KYB, Bilstein etc that you buy from Eurocarparts.

And also are aftermarket shocks the same as the OEM units?

Basically the rear O/S was changed a few months ago before I bought it, and that's a Sachs I think and and the N/S is an OEM.

I might just swap them both out for identical units.
