BMW - runflats front, normal rear?

A while ago I bought a fairly new BMW 5 Series from a main dealer. Approved Used etc. It needed a pair of new rear tyres for the prep but that was about it.
It had Michelin Pilot Sport 3 ZP runflats all round. They are still on the front with plenty of tread left.
On the rear, the main dealer had fitted new Pilot Sport 4S MO (not *) non runflat tyres (they have a Mercedes dealer next door, same company). Now obviously on the one hand these are great tyres and will do the job nicely, but I think they had a pair that fit at Merc next door and fitted them instead of ordering some proper BMW ones in. They are 20's and a fairly unusual size.
This is not something I would do myself, but actually, driving around, it seems absolutely fine and the ride and handling seem well settled. When the fronts are a bit lower I will likely match them all up so it's PS4S all round.
I decided against making a fuss about it at the time as I needed the car sorting there and then, and they were very good with everything else. Plus, these are £350/each tyres so they've hardly tried to pull a fast one - but it's certainly an unusual thing to do...
Before this, I'd have said it's a big no-no, but really it does seem fine. Anyone else had a similar experience?
