plastic light covers?

Hi All,

A friend has a Mk 3 MR2. The headlight covers have gone a bit milky and looked aged. I see no reason why they cant have the surface polished/refined to bring them back to looking new....but....using what product?

Are there any good compounds specifically for refinishing transparent plastics in this way?
