Bumper repair on car with Pearlescent White paint.

Hi Guys, just after a bit of advice.
I'm looking to buy a car with Pearlescent White paint, but have already found out through a chat with the seller that the rear bumper will need a paint repair due to a significant scuff/scrape.
Assuming it is an original paint code is it possible to simply respray the bumper or because of the pearlescent paint am I going to be told that a full respray is in order?
Sorry if that's a daft question, but rather not buy the car then found out that is the case.
