Guards Red Porsche Cayman GTS
Discussion
Hi Everyone
I am getting delivery of a new guards red Cayman GTS towards the end of April. To say I'm excited, impatient, you name it I am...lol
Can you guys give me an idea of what I need to do. I am wanting the "wet look" don't know if that's the right expression, you know the deep shiny red look.
I need to know what I should do to the car when I get it back home to keep it looking great and protected.
I don't want to get into machine polishing etc, but I need you guys to advise me on a say a 2 or 3 times a year routine for major protection and a weekly routine re keeping it looking shiny..lol
I already have a pressure washer, and am ok with buying a lance etc, but I need to know what works product and routine wise for the look I'm after.
I have no objection to spending £200/£300 on supplies etc if that's what's needed.
And please use laymans language, don't confuse me before I start...lol

I have just called Paul at PW Pro and had a great chat with him........seems a smashing fellow
When I collect the car, I am going to go see him and he will decide what is needed re protection/wax etc and then give me a weekly schedule of what I need to do and supplies to keep it looking perfect.
Just need the bloomin car now.........late April is scheduled delivery to me, the days are reallyyyyyyy dragging...lol
Thanks for the referal

Guards red is relatively easy to get looking good.
After you have had it detailed, get some Autoglym Super Resin Polish and the Auto Glym HD wax, will be cheap in Halfords if they have the 3 for 2 offer on.
Use the super resin after washing to polish and then finish off with the HD wax, always looks great on that red and a very good value easy to work with combination.

I agree with aftershock. SRP and supernatural hybrid (maybe HD next time). Think about hour much time you want to spend each week/month cleaning your car and speak to the detailer. Rather than buying all the kit, it is addictive, it could work out more efficient for a deal with the detailer.
