I kind of missed the whole detailing thing, then a mate of mine introduced me to claying & what it actually does - I didn't know just how good it was at getting paintwork clean until I was shown Yes it looked time consuming but the results!! :wow: Previously I would have just the 3g out hehepaperbag

However he showed me a new thing - A clay glove, so yes a glove with a clay surface - Oh wow what would have taken hours can now be done in tens of min's it is sooo easy with some spray lube. About £15 I think they are.

We got onto the topic of making life easy & he then also mentioned "Magic Sponges" for doing interior surfaces, plastic panels etc. He gave me one & said try it out.

So I'm getting the boats white vinyl top out, which I spent many days last year trying hopelessly to clean with every chemical known to Sadam Hussian & Chemical Ali, nothing got the white vinyl clean, even scrubbing it with 3g didn't work. So I tries the Magic Sponge, hey presto it looks like new in the 10mins I spent on it. Wow is all I can say! The Magic Sponges are about £3 for 10 on eBay in case your wondering.

So if you have a laborious cleaning task ahead - ask first!!! you may well be amazed at what will make life easy.

My other tip which is my own my recipe: 3/4 TFR & 1/4 Petrol mix in a spray bottle. I have no idea of the chemical concoction it makes but its amazing at cleaning engine bay grime, just jetwash it all off biggrin

Anyone got any more magic tips ?
