Newly sprayed bright red van - wax or polish?

Want to protect the new paint on my VR6 VW Caddy van, which is fresh back from a full respray a couple of weeks ago.

Not trying to fully detail it or anything just have a good layer of protection on the paint.

Should i be :-

Clay bar, then a good wax
Clay bar, polish, then a good wax

OR, what do you recommend?
