DA polisher and gelcoat finish - which combos?
Discussion
Bought a Rupes Bigfoot kit at Goodwood last weekend, same as this one (but with a bloody nice discount!):

Aiming to do my GTM Libra properly this weekend.
I'm already fairly proficient at washing/claying/decontaminating, but have never machine polished - and the gelcoat was too much for a manual polish even with Gtechniq P1.
The roof and bootlid are heavily faded through UV, and whilst the car has the odd swirl, it's not too bad overall. Have a feeling that it all suffers from UV fading to an extent.
The weave of the fibreglass is visible, so it'll never be mirror like, bit I'm hoping with a weekend's effort it'll come up great.
Question is, which pad/polish am I likely to need to achieve the correction I want? Or is it a case of starting low and working up as necessary before coming back down? The roof is a targa panel, so could be a tester - as long as I cam arrange some form of secure hold for it off the car...
