So there was a big bird poo on the windscreen and it wasn't shifting. The OH, tried the jetwash with no success, and so
"Went in to the garage and used one of those pan scourers you have in there"
Ok, that'll be the 2000 grit scotchbrite pads then.

Now I have a patch about 1 inch square which has scratches deep enough to cause a blurry patch.

So how do I get these scratches out of the window.
I've tried a cloth drill attachment with T-Cut, JML scratch remover, ( yes it was a present and had never been opened previously) and neither has touched it.

What are my options?
PS. More fool me, but I am a fine upstanding citizen and therefore will not accept suggestions of heavy/pointy items and a telephone call to the insurers.

Great, Thanks Glassman.
I'll see what my job randomiser tombola system ( or Planning department as they are sometimes known) comes up with and give one of them a call when I know I'm going to be in the area.

For an end of thread tidy up I have been working from home and have not been near any of glassman's contacts. As the car is due back next week, I sourced a glass polishing kit from amazon

1 hour with the kit, a water spray bottle and an 18v drill and the scratches are now reduced to a little bit of a ripple which you have to be looking for and focussing on the glass to notice.
Well worth a shot. No before after pics I'm afraid, very difficult to photograph glass.
