Mrs L has a 5 year old Mini Cooper with a vinyl flag graphic on the roof (original Mini graphic)

Although the paint is in good condition, the graphic is starting to look a bit rough - it's become patchy-looking and has generally lost it's gloss sheen. I wash it myself with decent products and it gets a polish and wax every three months or so, but whatever I use, I can't seem to improve the vinyl, which seems to continue to slowly deteriorate over time.

Any advice on restoring the sheen, specialist products etc. will be greatly appreciated.

ETA a couple of pics below to show the problem:

Several months of prevaricating and some small amount of nagging later and I decided to remove the graphics. I had a feeling it would be one of those jobs that would descend into several hours of picking away as the stickers broke into tiny pieces, followed by more hours of cursing at the left-over sticky residue.

I couldn't have been more wrong. I poured hot water from the kettle on the stickers and they just peeled off, leaving just a small line of muck where the edge had been. A quick T-Cut and a layer of polish and it came up lovely!

Lets see how many times she loses it on car parks now!
