Advice on car respray

I have a Z3 body conversion thingy which I now want to respray



had the notion of black base covered with fine blue metalflake.

Now, metalflake isnt something I see on the roads round here. is it a very uncool thing to be considering??

The other option is a dark blue pearl of some description.

Have a test panel sprayed here in flake and it looks amazing in the sun but think it might be OTT for a full car. Will look about a pearl sample and try it out. Just worried my spraying skills might not be up to it!

I had considered white with blue pearl but mu wife isn't fussed on the effect.

Have decided to do a test panel in white with a blue pearl to see how it turns out.

Sounds interesting! I've some pearl here which I haven't yet tried over white.also going to try a black base as well. Micro flake sounds like it might be an option too.

What size is the micro flake and what colour are you using? Any pictures you could share?
