Colour magic

I use poor boys black hole followed by turtle wax colour magic, then a good wax then a sealer I'm trying to get my head around how the colour magic helps give the deep red shine to my car as its only going I top of the clear coat ? If I didn't have a clear coat I'd understand I see how it would fill light scratches but that's it .

Any more input I do use maguilars wax after the poor boys

Ok it was I have the impression the red colour magic put more colour a more solid looking red base
