As winter is approaching I thought it would be a good idea to T-Cut the Velocefica-mobile.

T-Cut recommends you wax the car with a 'quality' product.

Basically I just want to keep the cars paintwork as good as possible throughout the harsh or not so harsh autumn/winter weather.

Not looking for something that's £500+ a tub.

Got given a half bottle of Auto Glym Super Resin Polish today by a friend.

Is it any good?

Highly Recommended, but will it give the same protection and finish as a high end wax .

It cost him about £7 trade so for free i probably shouldn't be complaining

Super Resin is a filler heavy polish, ever so slightly abrasive. I view it more as a paint cleanser as it's cleansing/filling abilities far outweigh it's abrasiveness. It also offers next to no protection on it's own so requires topping with a wax or sealant.

cheers

Chris
So does that mean using it after T-Cut is a big no no

T-Cut is pretty harsh - is the paintwork in really bad condition at the moment? Got any pics?
Its actually not in that bad condition, just a few scratches on the doors and light swirling .

The chrome around the windows is milky /cloudy and i've tried proper peek chrome polish and it makes no difference.

Think it's just oxidised, anyone got a solution or homemade remedy.

Heres a photo of the worst of it.
