Ok so for those of us who actually WASH our cars can I have some suggestions please for :-

Car Shampoo : I currently use AG shampoo is there any better I should try?

Detailing spray : I currently use meguiars gold is there any better I should try?

Wax : I dual action mop my car twice a year and then use meguiars carnuba wax - is there any better to use, i have used SRP which is really easy to use but doesnt last.

Not interested in "showroom shine" type products.

I am beginning to feel that PH has lost its ability to give advice on anything apart from what to do with the migrants...

I do regularly wash our car's actually,
But why diss something out of hand that you've not tried?
And no I would'nt smear grit around with it like in the advert but other than that I've found it to be a great product.
And the wife loves it for use around the house on shower screens etc.
Because waterless washes are for dust removal only and my cars dont sit in a showroom so there will always be grit and mud to contend with.

I'm specifically asking for advice on shampoo, wax and detailing spray. Showroom shine is detailing spray at best.

I have always wondered whats in detailing spray, secret stuff!

I use it to minimise marring and water spots when drying off the car, it works really well and cuts drying time massively. Rinse car so the water sheets off leaving minimal water behind (because wax), then spray on detailing spray and wipe the remaining water beads off.

Schmels gut too.
