Some wrapping or respraying advice
Discussion
Hi All,
I have an extremely tidy e39 M5 (other than a recently kerbed alloy by the other half ) and, by far and away, it is just the most sublime car I've been fortunate to own.
This year I am planning on doing some work to the car to ensure it is kept in tip top condition, one of the tasks being to refresh the paint but this has brought be to a cross roads.
I have a lovely Le Mans blue car which looks stunning to my eye but I have always had a hankering for an Alpine White e39 M5 (was never an option in the UK). To do a glass out respray would be a really bit commitment to the idea so I thought about getting a wrap for a bit. I'm sure the questions been answered a lot of times but technology changes and would appreciate some guidance from those in the know.
I'd like to get the car wrapped in Alpine White but I also want to keep it looking as good as poissible. No garage means car is stored outside all year. I know I can wax the wrap but how resistant is it to swirls/scratching? This leads me to a question is it possible and worth putting clear coat over it?
Cheers
