Swirl marks in paint after machine polishing
Discussion
My wife had a small accident in our Audi A6 avant. Not her fault. The claim went via a insurance company and then to an accident repair company in Reading.
The car is black, and when they came to pick up the car, they told me that the car could be machine polished and a couple of small dents removed all for £350.
I thought that was a good deal.
The car came back gleaming black. We have always noticed that hte black has gone to a grey, but when it came back it was lovely glossy black.
I had the pleasure of taking the car to our local town centre today and parked in a multi storey car park. It was lit by orange yellow tube lights. These showed up hundreds of swirls marks in circular motion in the black paint, these cant be seen in normal day light....
Is this right/normal?
Any help appreciated.

The power of Pistonheads!!!
Rich (Posh-Twit) of Classic Detail popped over on Sunday. He was on his way back from a helicoptor detailing session - yes helicoptor!
What a nice chap. He is enthusiastic about his work and took time to show me the problems with my car paint.
He spent almost an hour with me chatting about paint and techniques to remove the marks in my cars paint and all for the price of a cup of tea and a pink wafer (the biscuit).
Rich also provided a report which i will use to send to the Accident repair place in Reading and try and get some or all of my money back. I will then use this to pay Rich to correct the paint.
Thanks Pistonheads and Rich of Classic Detail for your help.
