I've got a few plastic parts (the insides of my head lamps) I'm trying to paint. They were originally chrome, so I've had a friend soda blast them back, and I'll be using a plastic adhesion primer.

The colour I'm aiming for is a really dark matte/satin grey. But I'm really struggling to decide what paint to use and whether I'll need to use matte lacquer or not.

For the record, the sort of colour/finish I'm looking for is something like these:

Any help/advice would be greatly appreciated.

Many thanks!

Hi, thanks for the reply...

Yes they are/were reflective surfaces, but not the main ones and won't effect the operation of the light... If that's what you're getting at?

It's just the trim around the insides, not the main backing/reflector of the light...

None of the bits to be painted are directly in the light beam, so I'm not so concerned about heat... I know people that have painted these bits with normal paints and had no issues as well. I'm just not sure of what paint to use to get the desired finish!?
