How do I find the correct colour for an import (Freda/Bongo)
Discussion
Hi,
I have a Ford Freda (Mazda Bongo), imported a couple of years ago. It is black (non-metallic).
I need to tidy up a few scratches and spots of rust, and I have had some reasonable success recently with Halfords colour-match scratch repair kits on my Ford Focus (sea Grey). Halfords have a few different Ford blacks - Ash Black, Panther Black and Ford Black - plus a generic Black Gloss repair pens. Because the Freda is an import, its not listed in any of Halfords reference books for which type of Ford Black to use, and the chaps at the paint counter were none-the-wiser.
I have tried looking on ETIS but the registration is not found and I am struggling to locate the VIN.
Anyone got any ideas on how I can find out which Ford paint is used?
Many thanks
Tom
