Apologies I know this has been mentioned before, but wondered if there are any new ideas for permanently removing these marks.

Currently have them on a 08 Ford Cmax and a 57Reg Golf.

All round the back doors where the kids get in ! grrr

TIA

Clay bar?
IPA wipe down?
Pretty much any car polish?
I've not tackled it yet, but I'm guessing

Clay bar - the white marks cannot be felt with my fingers so this will have no affect
IPA wipa down - I suspect this will have no affect as the marks appear to be in the paint / lacquer
car polish - I've tried this and after a period of time the white marks come back (the same marks)

TIA

Thanks paintman for the link, I've read it and nothing jumps out as the fix, people have suggested different things, but no consensus on what has worked. I'm not trying petrol, but might try the autoglym stuff.

One white mark looks like a small "splat" hand print by the door handle, so I'm guessing its not scratched and it also feels smooth like its in the lacquer.

Oh well when I get some time I will try some different things.

thanks again
