Hello,

I think (!) this is tacklable by somebody with some patience and a modicum of understanding of the basics (sand, fill, prime and spray) but in the back of my head think this might go south.

Can anybody reassure me that this is the type of thing they tackle themselves and doesn't require a profesional bodyworker?

The is the worst of the arches, the others have some bubbling but this one seems to have the largest blistering.

It's more about stopping the rot than perfect factory finish.

Many thanks,

Thank you all - glad I asked here first!

Given that it's an e39 and will likely throw a big bill before the winter is over, it makes sense to just let it rust and if the rest of the car is still running, replace the panel when it's absolutely necessary.

I'm thinking it will take a good while for that to become an MOT issue so just really cosmetic which I can handle.

Thanks again,
