Can this door damage be smart repaired?
Discussion
Hello Everyone,
An object of some kind has hit the nearside door of my M3 while I was driving, the sound of the impact was like someone had hit the car with a golf club, it was that loud. I have no idea what it was, but it caused this damage (one longer dent / mark approx 15mm long plus three chips):
The photos are not the best, but hopefully shows the chip damage and the lower photo is intended to show the dent in the larger mark.
What is the best method of fixing this? Can this be smart repaired?
Any suggestions of who could undertake such work in the North Hampshire area (Fleet)?
Also, any suggestions what might have caused this? No other cars nearby at the time, no visible pedestrians, straight road at 8pm, driving along a tree-lined road past various driveways. Very peculiar. I wonder whether something might have been thrown into the road from a driveway, but no idea what or why someone would even do that. I cannot think of any other explanation that fits the circumstances though.
Thanks,
Steve
