Wheel Refurbishment research....

On my travels earlier, I spied a specialist who does the above work and was horrified to see how they leave their customers' cars whilst refurbing their wheels....



Needless to say, I think if the customer concerned saw their car perched on 2 axle stands and a trolley jack, they might be less than happy - the moral of this is please make sure you understand how the company looks after your car whilst they have it as I wouldn't imagine you'd be too pleased if you found out it had fallen off the stands etc (& the cars are left in an open yard area with other traffic passing them! I heard someone saying they'd seen a Range Rover Sport being treated the same way recently Excuse my poor photography as I didn't want to be seen taking the pic so it was through the windscreen.

I'm pretty sure its not a widespread practice in the industry and I have a friend who has a similar business although his customer cars are always kept inside his unit whilst being worked on and sit on at least 4 axle stands when the wheels are off - its the old adage that "you get what you pay for" sadly.
