Hi all rubbed down and repainted the underside of my st170 subframes and chassis etc. How long to leave the paint to dry before applying waxoyl? Only ive been since thrusday preparing and painting as i had to remove the front subframe and plate it up. Due to time restraints and the fact i needed to get the subframe back on today i decided to apply the waxoyl over the freshly painted bulk head area. It had 14 hrs dry time in a insulated workshop. The waxoyl eat into the paint and it all started to run. How long should i leave it before applying the waxoyl to the rest of the car?

I used hamerite no1 rust beater primer on subframes front and back followed by 2x coats of hammered black hamerite. For the under body and chassis and sills i used hammered silver as they werent rusty thought id just add another layer. Refresh it up. Thought id spray the waxoyl on the front section while the subframe was off as it easier to get inside box sections and corners hidden by the subframe. Obviuosly the paint hadnt gone off enough due to the cool ambient temperature
