Getting a job from the UK?

First off yipeeeee we have our 190 visas!

Secondly what are the thoughts on getting a job from the UK?
I'd like to get a job from here in the UK then work my 2 weeks notice and head over but I've been advised it's much easier to get a job once you’re in the country?

I'm a mechanical technician by trade in the oil industry but currently on a 6 month placement quoting manufacturing hours for new business if anyone knows any contacts!

Still hopeful my current company come up with something but been in touch with a few agencies, they've not been much use so far!

I was so convinced I answered all the reading questions right on 2 of 3 attempts but never got full marks :s Best I got was 8.5
